The reveddit browser extension is pretty good, notifies you of all your reddit comments that are getting invisibly deleted (probably more than you think)

I'm not saying I want conformity of the UI's across instances. Maybe my original comment wasn't worded great, but I think ultimately it's a drawback of the decentralised nature of the threadiverse. People land on an instance and make an assumption that it's all like that.

why are they still there?

Perhaps part of the sign-up wizard then? Like add a new section to it saying that FYI terms are different here? But yeah it could be good to use a different name, if a good replacement could be found? Like at worst, even just the word "Def" as in Default search mode.

It is also more difficult connecting that data to your person.

That wouldnt be enough to get the kind of statistics mentioned in this post.
