I didn't watch either but the movie that showcased how you use Amazon and showed actual war footage while the lead was locked in a room he could have broken out of if desired has to be worse right?

I tried watching Ice Cube’s War of the Worlds. It was painfully bad. It pretty much takes place from the perspective of a government watchdog sitting behind a computer, switching between Facebook and Zoom/FaceTime calls, tracking every single movement of everyone. If it got better, I wouldn’t know. I had to turn it off. Those sound effects for the online calls were triggering me and it was simply annoying way to narrate a movie.

Ice Cube sits in front of a computer and goes “damn that’s crazy” for 90 minutes, I don’t think this deserves an award, even if it’s shittiest actor of the year award.

It was a covid movie, and the execs did serious meddling.
Basically made a whole new movie from what it was supposed to be and the visual effects were supposed to be placeholders, but became the final ones due to those same execs.
Just a perfect storm of shit rolling downhill.
