Today's game is Halo 3: ODST. Me and my friend were going to continue Halo 4 on the Masterchief saga, but another friend ended up joining us. So we decided to do ODST. We made it pretty far in, i forgot how long this game could feel though.

We played the Uplift Reserve and our friend decided he would just jump on top of the Warthog, somehow we made it through the whole level like that. Surprisingly he only fell off once.

There of course was also the Time Honored tradition of killing eachother in a Halo game. I feel like it's a little harder in ODST, i'm not sure why though. I think it's the way health is handled and their not being a visual indicator for the "Shield" (Stamina in this game).

I also noticed that a lot of these levels, in retrospect, seem kind of speed orientated. Like i can just run through them to the end. It's not really a complaint or anything, but just something i noticed.

We ended on Kizingo Blvd, where we crashed at the very end. We decided that was a good point to end off at on the night. It was fun getting to play this. Halo 3 ODST is probably my least played game. I've got like 50 playthroughs of Halo 3 and Reach, and then ODST I have 3. Once on Legendary Co-Op, another on Normal with My Brother, and another on Normal with a friend. This will make 4th hopefully.

I have always liked ODST quite a bit for changing up the formula and being an overall solid game. I might do another run of that soon. 🙂

Though, I have spent more time playing CE than every other Halo combined. Much of that due to the fact only it and 2 were released for PC until somewhat recently, and Halo 2 got saddled with Games for Windows Live. But, mostly just because CE is damn good.

I’ve been listening to CE’s soundtrack regularly recently. it’s aesthetic and story are just so unique and an amazing thing I’ve never really seen replicated. Not even the sequels manage to nail it’s unique vibe, though they’re amazing in their own ways
