Does anyone know of a desktop client app for Linux which allows for easily switching between accounts?

Assuming you're looking for Lemmy/Piefed clients, you might be able to install some of the front ends as PWAs. Photon and Blorp for example

Voyager works, although I don't think it's intended for Desktop use

not apps, but in firefox you can log in with multiple accounts. if you install the multi account containers addon the menu will appear for creating containers for them. the feature is native to firefox, it's just the buttons for it they left for an addon for some reason.

Blorp dev here. If you happen to be on macOS, there’s macOS build of Blorp. I have to test if the PWA is installable. I might need to make some changes to get that working.

The main reason I haven’t worked on that is there aren’t really any install only features you get. Technically there are some images you can only share via the iOS, Android, and macOS apps. But other than that, you will get 99% of the Blorp experience using the web version.

                    desktop client app for Linux

An app THAT DOES WHAT? You may as well be asking for "a food I can eat bite by bite".

Given that this is in the fediverse community I would have thought you might be able to figure that out.
