Hot take: commute times should count as part of your work time. For everyone.
- Reduces effective work time, similarly to proposed 35h work weeks and the like
- Strong incentive for effectively anything that has money to invest into and improve public transport
- Potentially positive impact on the housing market, as well as employers supporting re-location, etc. (Very unsure about how this one would play out – could also go the exact opposite way)
- Encourages work-from-home where viable -
