Lake Oswego theater loses rights to screen ‘Melania’ after marquee jokes

Then why did Amazon pull their rights to screen the movie because they made fun of it so much?

Sounds like they did it for the lols, made light fun of it in their promo material, and Amazon pulled the licensing.

I mean, it just seems so weird that it even exists (who wants a movie about Melania lol?), and wouldn’t it then be exponentially weirder, to the point of being funny, to show it here, at your obviously anti-establishment, occasionally troublemaking, neighborhood cinema?” Perry wrote.

The loss of the theatrical rights is attributed to the Lake Theater’s marquee messages for the documentary.
These included: “DOES MELANIA WEAR PRADA? FIND OUT FRIDAY!” and “TO DEFEAT YOUR ENEMY. YOU MUST KNOW THEM. MELANIA.”
Maybe they wanted to make money but they still did make jokes against it.
