How Bandcamp became the "headquarters" for video game soundtracks

Gonna jump in and say if you want to support a small artist, and fairly active Lemmy user, I'm on Bandcamp and just posted week one of a two week track-a-day competition:

P. S. I'm only doing this because this is one of my most active times of the year!

As the other posted said, it's easy to see something like this and get the knee-jerk reaction of "stupid ads!", especially in a place like fediverse where many people are overly sensitive towards such possibility (I know I am). I'm always curious about new stuff to listen to so I'll make sure to check it out when I can.

Can you explain more on those artists? I can't find them and never saw anyone charging more for FLAC. Or is it outside of Bandcamp?

To be honest: I was a little butthurt when I made the edit, any listening you do I appreciate! I should have mentioned in my comment you can listen for free on SoundCloud.

Completely understandable. Getting annoyed or defensive is a pretty natural reaction when people just downvote and move on, without articulating their reasons. I get why people did it but I also understand the frustration.
Current state of social media can be a pretty draining experience.
