Growing up Gen X in the midst of the Satanic Panic, this game potentially becomes everything we were warned the world would become if you listened to rock music lol.
That said, my boyfriend and I made our entire cult out of cats.
Yeah even just the potential for "pure" follower aesthetics (aka eugenics) to satisfy our sense of order is so fucked up if you think about it.

your post. I hope you enjoy the ride, our cult ended up with some rather ... debatable ethics despite never indulging much in the more perverse and outright evil practices.Thank you! I've been enjoying it a lot. i've been struggling a bit with ethics after some followers have been asking for various things. One wanted me to sacrifice another follower, which i turned down, another asked me to sacrifice them, which i also turned down.
Then there was a dissenter which wanted to leave. The game told me my only option was to talk them out of it, put them in prison, or let them go. I chose to let them go and the asshole stole some of my gold which i'm not too pleased about. So far though i've kept a pretty clean moral slate (outside the bowl of shit)

I know the rule of thirds, but what are powerpoints? DDG is of no help
It may have been a colloquial thing my teacher used, but with Rule of Thirds it's basically where the grid lines intersect, at least, if i understood right. A bit embarrassing but i was out of it for that class due to how early it is

Oh hell ye. I‘ve been eyeing this game for a long time. Imma ask you how you like the game once you‘ve clocked in more hours. Are you planning to 100% it?
I was considering 100%ing it, at least as far as Steam Achievements are concerned. I find they're a good metric to measure whether you've explored all the interesting sides of a game, at least when they're done right. I saw though the DLC achievements are bundled in with the main game. It's trivial but it has kind of put me off 100%, at least until i get the DLC that is

Been on the fence for this game for a while but not too sure what it's about exactly. From what I gather it has a part that is pure roguelike combat, something similar to Hades, and there is another management part where you grow your community. It's that so? Is the combat fun and satisfying like in Hades or is more like a filler?
That's basically how i'd summarize it. I like the Combat, it's far easier than Hades though, as it feels far less focused on repeat loops. I have died maybe a total of twice, and i'm someone that doesn't really touch Roguelikes

Yeah, that DLC thing is custom for Steam, they‘re ALWAYS bundled with the main game, there’s no way for devs to not to, it‘s the biggest downside to hunting on Steam.

Yeah. It’s one of the things I miss most about playing on PlayStation. I wish separating main game and DLC was more common

Today’s game is some more Cult of the Lamb. A lot of these screenshots were taken with the photo mode. I’m taking a photography class right now, partly for fun, partly so I can take better screenshots. So that was some practice for rule of 3rds and PowerPoints.
I’ve been trying to collect followers for the most part today. I figured the more followers, the more stable of a community I can build. I let this older guy in specifically. He can’t do any sort of labor, but he’s chill so he can stay.
He brought with him two more followers soon after that were sick. I’m not one to turn away people I can so easily help, so I built them some beds and got them some rest. I had to isolate one guy because he snores but besides that they’re resting now as we speak.
Someone yesterday mentioned this game can kind of make you swallow your morals, so i got the idea to try and do this as morally as possible. Though, now that I think about it, if my morality is spurred by me doing a challenge, am I the morally just one or is it simply the challenge motivating me with psychological gain?
So far the most evil thing I’ve done is trick someone into eating a bowl of shit at another follower’s request. These things have kind of been escalating, so I hope I don’t get asked to kill another follower, but we’ll see.
I ended off my day with some nice relaxing gardening. My followers were heading off to sleep so I tried to help out by watering crops and mining some stuff. I also tore up a path I wasn’t too fond off.
I love sacrificing the elders. And making them randomly fight each other to the death.
I've been stuck on the last boss for a while. I'm too greedy with damage dumping on the boss to dodge, so I die like a n00b, but I'm enjoying myself.

I’m the same way. I’ll try and stack up damage and then just rush the boss. Never goes well. I love poison though because when I finally decide to pull back there’s a flow of damage that keeps going
