Lunch mates some days ago.

She has grown up in the era of me lying down all the time and has grown into lounging much the same.

A couple of days ago we had to take our oldest dog to the emergency vet about an hour from home. She seemed to be in lots of pain from her arthritis and I was afraid of what they would tell us. They did a few tests and said basically that we should have been giving her some daily medicine to help with inflammation. We left with the pills in hand and now the old girl is walking around much better and is seeming more like her old self again. While we're upset at our regular vet for not doing this stuff sooner, we're happy that it's done now.

I had ordered some food, and they forgot a side dish. What usually happens here is that they will send someone just to deliver the missing item. Which I think is ridiculous.

So I phoned them up just to let them know, and also perhaps get it another time. They said I should just mention I'm the person with the missing dish the next time and they'll add it. When I called a week later, they immediately remembered and did not only send the missing side dish but also a big salad for free
