I just watched Kingdom of Heaven Director’s Cut for the second time.

I’m glad I missed this one in theaters. The lengthier version. It really gives the characters more space to grow by the end of the story.

I saw Avatar: Fire and Ash this weekend and I honestly thought it was awesome. It felt like Avatar 2.5, but I actually liked it more than the second one. Quaritch is my new favorite character in the series.

I watched the new Toxic Avenger movie and also had a blast watching it. It takes itself seriously to have a message, but not too seriously that it will literally rip someone's arm off and try to put it back on the wrong way. Fun gross humor, pretty good acting, fun soundtrack and everyone just seemed like they were having a fun time making it.

I also saw The Color Out of Space (2019) for the first time, and my personal hype honestly lived up to it. It's the right amount of weird and fucked up that you'd hope to find in a cosmic horror movie. I was actually surprised at the body horror in it, too.

Hamnet: phenomenal acting, particularly from Jessie Buckley and Jacobi Jupe - I really felt a lot of the scenes deeply. The story flowed very nicely, though my wife informs me the book was quite different in a lot of respects.

Watching “H is for Hawk” tomorrow, it’s a week for emotional movies apparently.

Just rewatched "the kings speech" last evening.

An impeccably well-made movie all around, and great performances.
It does not really hit me on an emotional level, but I can appreciate the craftsmanship of everyone involved.

Wonder what's going on with Tom Hooper and his track records... This, Danish girl, then Cats?

Quarich is the character the franchise has developed the most.

I loved Avatar Fire and Ash. It was so much fun.

I watched this on a lark. I couldn’t find anything that interested me so I fired this up. It starts out ok and is entertaining enough until the love interest is introduced and then it really stalls.

                It is meh.

I love that he's just a straight up warlord now. It fits his character surprisingly well imo.

In a lot of ways he went the same direction as Jake Sully. While he never fell in love with Pandora like Jake did, he sure got attached to things in that world and in the end recognized they mean more to him than revenge.
