Appeal to popularity! Why do you think people like 6ix9ine instead of Beethoven? xD

    Enjoy your slop!

I'd argue waaaay many more people enjoy Beethoven than that other artist you mentioned. Beethoven isn't some underground stuff only known to a select few

Subjective art opinions as a basis for an argument, with no supporting positions ? that's some 5 year old's conversational skill right there.

Might as well have said "nuh uh".

Enjoy your weak debate skills !

The great thing is that you don't have to interact with it if you don't want to. And I'm not sure you can call a game who people have played for over a thousand hours shallow.

You can absolutely call a game people have played for over a thousand hours shallow. No idea why you think you can’t. Lots of very shallow games have dedicated user bases with thousands of hours.

10 years, I was a much different man when I first played this game. Part of my would like to forget the time and start fresh with all these updates.

I’ve started fresh a number of times with these updates and unfortunately what that does is just highlight how disparate and tacked-on many of them are. They do not make for a coherent, well integrated experience at all. I’m certain it’s a better experience to just be a long time player who logs back in for every update.

That's not my argument, you tell that to @Jollyllama, but then again:

            6IX9INE- GOOBA - 922m views
6ix9ine - BEBE ft. Anuel AA - 1.6 bn views

The Best of Beethoven - 66m views
            Beethoven - Moonlight Sonata - 225m views

Ouch, he is right, quote and quote with some modification "Some may not enjoy it and that’s their opinion but he is pulling more listener numbers and higher ratings and most other music artists."

If you’re wondering if the game was made any deeper and more engaging then no. But they have added a great many new side activities to do. The game was built upon horizontally rather than vertically.

So if you had the game at launch and lived every second of it and just wanted more, you’ll be very happy.

If you had the game and launch and were let down by the lack of depth the game offered, you’ll won’t get much out of it today either.

Even now, ten years on, even on little ol' Lemmy, there are many comments about how Hello Games "lied" and the fans didn't get what they were "promised". Wild.

I mean, they absolutely did at the time. They atoned for their transgression and redeemed themselves several times over though.

Nah, the length of an artwork does not indicate depth, tons of TV shows lasting over 10 seasons and 42 mins per episodes and they are still shallow, still don't pack a punch like the good old BBC Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and Alec Guinness plays the role to perfection.

But remember, that's where they spent their development time, instead of improving the original concept... Oh, wait, they still have the sandbox as the shield to widen the ocean as much as possible.

There's a disconnect there though. People have dedicated their time to this, and without at least a decent amount of depth it wouldn't be able up keep their attention that long. If you're not able to find the depth, or it's just not your style of game, that's totally fine. But clearly many people have.

Look at corvette building, as an example. If you just take it as surface level, you can bust out a ship and come up with a pretty okay design in an hour or 2. So that a few times and you've pretty much done everything you can. However, if you start messing around with glitch building and really diving into the excitement of recreating your favorite ships from sci-fi, or just seeing how far you can push things, you can spend dozens upon dozens of hours just building ships.

This same thing goes for base building, farm building, settlement development. And this is all on top of the story, expeditions, daily quests, etc. So yeah, it's a sandbox game without one specific thing driving it, but that's what a LOT of people really like about the game (including myself).
