What was your biggest movie let-down/disappointment ever?

Kangaroo Jack. Most misleading trailer ever.

My biggest problem with
thisthe sequels is that Luke's character just got completely butchered. You really want me to believe that one of my childhood heros, who against all odds, against his mentors judgement, decided to go all in on the "There's good in my father, I'll save him or die."-train would grow old and wants to kill his own fucking nephew because he's seeing something evil in him?
That was last Jedi though, was it not?
I never watched rise of Skywalker, the Luke story ended with him vanishing into the force at the end of last Jedi if I recall correctly. -
Arrival and Interstellar. Half baked cop out time travel shit
Arrival is leagues above interstellar in that regard imo.

Suicide squad (
20182016) was a disaster and a tremendous letdown.Though that was clear by the time it actually hit cinemas, so more of a continuous descent from its first announcement to its actual release

I never understood this. What's wrong with it?
Dull dialogue. Wooden acting. Jar Jar Binks. What a disappointment.

World War Z.
i was do hyped. and it single handedly ended the zombie movie genre that was popular at the time
Should have stuck to the book. Doing vignettes about how the invasion affected people would have been far more interesting.

There are always exceptions. Andromeda Strain was an excellent book.
The original Andromeda Strain is an excellent movie.

the sad part is that few people will read the book because the movie was so bad.

WB hired the people who put together the trailer to edit the movie. The results were...not good.

House of the Dead is the only movie I ever walked out of and demanded my money back.
Also so many comedy sequels.
Super Troopers 2, Dumb and Dumberer, Dumb and Dumber 2 (which actually made Dumb and Dumberer look good by comparison; at least the Bob Sagat part was hilarious and still remains quotable), Anchorman 2, etc. I haven't seen the new Happy Gilmore sequel yet, but I have heard it actually is decent.

And the originals weren't kids movies?
I guess the massive amount of Star Wars toys I had as a child somehow led me to believe otherwise.
Original trilogy are also kids movies, fight me.
I say less "kids" movie and more family movies.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife
I have been a big Ghostbusters fan since I was a little kid. After people ruined chances for an Answer the Call sequel, I had high hopes for Afterlife. Biggest movie letdown of my life.
I know everyone loves to shit on Answer the Call, but that is my #2 GB movie only after the original. It was so much better than Afterlife, it was a true GB comedy ghost movie about adults with raunchy humor. Afterlife is just a teen family friendly coming of age horror movie, no raunchy humor, and shoves Easter eggs everywhere. It was so awful, I canโt watch Frozen Empire.

True, although I think that was not the first of its failings...
There has been a lot of post-mortem analysis, some real gems among the video essays that got made on it, at least.
