Nintendo Switch 2 sales stumble over Christmas

Get a steamdeck, emulate the switch 1.
Is it that easy, and gives decent framerate?

Yes, it is incredibly easy using the module in EmuDeck, and the framerate is very solid (and can be modded and enhanced with things such as internal resolution upscaling)

What's the point of paying for overpriced game cartridges when the software isn't onboard and are just a license to download them? The Switch 1 was still tolerable because you got to own the titles you physically purchased and could access locally at any time. There's no long term argument for owning a Switch 2.
That's just in the case of the game key cards, right?

Yup, Steam Deck + EmuDeck and using the "Eden" switch emulator. I have the same or better performance than when I did with Yuzu.

Yes, some games actually have the data to install the game.

Unpopular opinion, I love my Switch 2! I also have a Steam Deck, but I think the Switch 2 is a worthy upgrade to get upgraded visuals on first party games. Also, the HDR is very impressive given that the display is LCD; I genuinely think it looks good seeing as it's brighter and higher DPI than the Steam Deck OLED.

That's also the thing. It came out in June. Prices will not go down. Everyone who wanted one already got one.
If anything, they will go up.
