Bill Nye the science guy! Thanks in part to his inspiration, today I work on a daily basis on the design of machines that make really angry photons. I'm a minority person and somehow was able to overcome all the shit. Bill's show was such a fundamental show to anything that would one day be my life's direction.
One interesting thing is that Bill's show was not on KPBS! It was, along with Bicman, over the air on my local racist channel 6. So even bad apples can hold the most delicious nectar if you just filter out the bad.
I regularly think about a quote form his show that stuck with me since I was a kid; Always remember, everyone you'll ever meet knows something you don't.
