Their free plan of onedrive is only 5gb now I remember reading (I think on Wikipedia or something? ) that they used to offer unlimited when they were SkyDrive. But I may be wrong (it's been a few years)

The travel ticket thing That's the one, the thing that let you go to random deserted islands, usually for materials. It was just never meant to be printed en masse and hoarded like capital. I think the idea of needing an economy between players in AC is a bit ridiculous too anyway. My only "trades" with other players, if you could call them that, were stuff like "you can go pick some of my extra blue roses, and please get me that cool red godzilla variant from your town".

I don't think Hello Games lied as much as you may think. Sony lied, and others layered their own expectations on top. HG turned to Sony for publishing and marketing help. Sony, like any game publisher, wants to get as many sales as possible, preferrably on release day to look the best (for further marketing when sales slow down: "X million dollars on release day"/"Y copies sold on release day" kind of stuff). So Sony had a huge hand in promoting the game, and undoubtedly crunched time on HG, reducing their ability to get what they wanted to out the door. Plus, people hear what they want to hear and read what they want to read sometimes. Game journalists and streamers and influencers and such layered their expectation on each other, chalking up the game to more than was promised by HG, only to be disappointed when it wasn't. Murray even said the day before its release that it "maybe isn't the game you imagined". And sure, not to absolve HG of all the blame here, there was underdelivery and bugs. They got swept up in a storm of shit larger than they were ready for. They probably could have said more at the bungled release, but I wonder how much (if any) they couldn't because of Sony's hands in the PR. Iirc they were allowing returns of the game past normal return timelines? Given all of that, though, they committed to their game, even when Sony left, and even if players left and didn't come back. That's why people talk about it's comeback story. For Cyberpunk, though, I'm less supportive of that comeback story because CDPR had other majorly-known games (Witcher). They knew how game-dev-crunching and publisher pressure reduces their ability to deliver. They understood how marketing grows hype and expectations of their games. They even saw how NMS's release went, and they still fumbled their release horribly. I'm happy for those that play CP2077 and enjoy it today, but I'm less on-board for that one.

Yeah. I have to say, it’s probably one of the most difficult par times I’ve done. Though, Reach, 3, and 4 all support 4 players so I’m sure we have an advantage in that department
  • So I was apparently one of the lucky ones.

It’s a very good game, but also very different than what we were lead to believe it would be pre launch.

Incredible. Clearly they have learnt something from OSRS being more popular than the main game, I hope they stick the landing. Having no nostalgia for either, I must say both games are amazing (after hundreds of hours as an adult in both). RS3 has some amazing quests, overall I'd say better than OSRS. But RS3's game loop was just kinda bad. So while I prefer its quests, I don't really enjoy the moments to moment gameplay ; which means in the end OSRS is way more fun, because its quests are only a little bit worse, and its gameplay is light years ahead (specifically because it is literally years behind 🥲 and therefore has none of the "modern" nonsense) I'm VERY glad for the cosmetics toggle. I'm also glad TH is gone ; it made it so anything besides Ironman wasn't worth playing (but I don't really care for non-ironman gameplay so take it with a grain of salt)

Always been changing = the people at the top fired a lot of talent. Edit: WTF is with all the “Dragon Age dev says” stories lately? Is it because they’re unemployed now?

You know, I recall playing this at a friend's house decades ago and being totally, utterly, stuck on the first level for like... many hours. So yeah, you may be right about that. Was there like, a maze in that level? I think I remember a maze that ultimately led to a smaller area of open water, where you were just like "well fuckin' now what?"

I’ve been listening to CE’s soundtrack regularly recently. it’s aesthetic and story are just so unique and an amazing thing I’ve never really seen replicated. Not even the sequels manage to nail it’s unique vibe, though they’re amazing in their own ways

You make a good point. I’m glad it died because mindless grind with RNG loot is boring as shit.

Thanks! It's been going on for like the last month but i think i'm closed to finished thankfully. It's definitely the most drained I've been in a long while, it will be nice to see it through to the end though.

The main quest was terrible. Should never center the plot on the player when there's custom creation and open world. It's forcing a backstory or behaviour onto the player even if they don't want it. I played a big Michael Clarke Duncan brute rolling melee as Idiot Savant. The intro and main quest was entirely incompatible with character, full of things they wouldn't have done, would do, or should do.

You could get a modded Xbox 360 + Kinect for cheaper than this. It’s not like young kids care so much about graphics anyway.
