I mean, remaining on a sinking ship doesn’t save anyone else from drowning.

If you think America is a sinking ship, what does that indicate about the continued safety of NZ?

Substantiate to what end, Your Honor? Timeline is all public of their layoff timelines in their reality labs division, the partnership with Cameron on same work and the proximity between the two.

Can you substantiate what you're now going to do with this information, detective?

Yeah. And as a kiwi it kinda pisses me off that we let wealthy Americans in. I'd rather it was a generic visa program than a pay-to-play.

He can still speak out just as well

Money is also the #1 thing this adminitration cares about. Cameron taking him money, businesses, and most importantly tax dollars to NZ and Canada instead is the most impactful individual action he could do

Giving an interview with what sounds like a both sidesism is not helpful in a speaking out sense. As for taxes is production companies are still California based and his distributor is still 20th Century Fox.

Generally comments on Facebook. I was seeing vitriolic death shit around the Charlie Kirk stuff but extended. Everyone in the comments telling each other to die and threatening. It was gross. Driven by bots it gets everyone worked up. Since the ICE “crackdown” though it seems to be just racists vs sensible people, and I’m glad for that.

I did see a lot of people who were glad or even gleeful he wasn't spouting his vitriol and died in a way he explicitly approved of, but I'm not on facebook so I didn't see people making threats at each other. That being said, I know that people both to the right and left of Kirk hated him, so it's very possible all the hate being spewed was from the right. Seeing as how since the ICE surge isn't getting the same level of vitriol, I think it's safe to say that most of those weren't people that weren't "left" in any sense of the imagination, or just bots.

You're describing a valid criticism of Capitalism, which I share 100%.
I just don't think that translates well to a direct guilt for Cameron.
He couldn't have brought his movies to the screen if he didn't work within this system.
Of course now that he's been successful, he could definitely donate his wealth.

On the other hand, I could also donate all $50k of my life savings without starving, while others are currently starving.
And I'm not going to do it. I carry the same type of guilt, only with lower numbers.

"At each other's throats?" 30% of the country is behaving like Nazis, others are calling them on it, and a disturbing percentage are silent. Yes I suppose more people could be silent to help preserve his feelings.

Nah man I'm a professional scuba diver (well retired now) and avatar 2 and 3 made huge difference in pop cultural understand of the ocean. It's his most important work yet and one of the most important Hollywood movies ever. I've seen thousands of people here in Thailand alone who got into scuba diving and reduced their sea food consumption just because of Avatar - this is good!

Whenever I see people telling American to just leave the US, I always think "so I have to be rich to move to a new country? And I'm supposed to be a problem?" It costs tens of thousands of dollars to get just the application. It's extremely privileged to assume everyone can do that.

Back during W Bush second term, I looked at migration to just Canada. It was several thousands of dollars for the application, need to have employment shortly after moving there or before then. Now it's harder to do so.
